*If you RSVP and do not show up, you are still expected to pay for that lunch as RCLP will be charged for it.

("RCLP") is a non-profit, non-political, legal organization dedicated to providing quality legal education to those who are employed in the legal field or employed by state, city-parish, or governmental agencies, banks, mortgage companies or other companies affiliated with the legal field.
Hopefully we all made it through April Fools’ Day yesterday without any hard feelings! As a little girl, I vividly remember my mom telling my dad, who had just come home from a long shift at work, “I accidently flushed the checkbook down the toilet.” Of course, 30 years ago, that would have been equivalent to losing the almighty debit card! His jaw just dropped…not taking the time to think how, logistically, she wouldn’t REALLY walk into the bathroom at home with the checkbook. What are some of your most fond April Fools’ Day memories?
But enough about that! I wanted to thank everyone who came to our member meeting last month. We successfully met our minimum requirement and didn’t have to pay for ANY empty seats! Let’s keep up the momentum – invite your friends to come see what we’re all about. There were a few ladies who were not able to attend because they had not sent their RSVP. I know it’s easy to forget when you’re focused on preparing a brief or getting your attorneys ready for trial, so we will start sending a reminder to RSVP a little closer to the deadline so that no one has to miss out.
